Which politician got twice as much coverage as Madonna? How many years would it take you to watch all the US election coverage in one go? Have the world’s media got serious in 2008?

Five years on from the start of the war in Iraq Al Jazeera visited the USA to guage public mood towards the conflict.
In a special four part documentary we talked to, among others, grieving mothers, politicians and the man widely regarded as coining the phrase “axis of evil”, who still supports the war.

A very high quality of when George W. Bush duck when a shoe thrown at him
BAGHDAD (AP) 12/14/2008
An Iraqi journalist was wrestled to the floor by security guards after he called Mr Bush “a dog” and threw his footwear, just missing the president.
My reflection about this incident;
many people want Muntadar al-Zeidi to be set free as unguilty, saying it is democratic and he was only expressiing his though about George Bush.
now i am not with Bush, but they cant say it is democratic, ask your self, would you accept one throwing shoes on you just couse they hate you? It is all matter of respect.
so what ever his destiny await him, Muntadar al-Zeidi, must be really deserving it..I think.
